Pamela Isley was a meek botanist interning under Dr. Jason Woodrue. She was recruited by Ferris Boyle to work at Gothcorp as a visiting specialist to perfect strains of freeze resistant plants for farming in cold climates. Woodrue modified her genetic code with plant DNA and mutated her. Isley discovered that she could control plants, release mind control pheromones, and secrete a deadly toxin from her skin turning her into the supervillainess known as Poison Ivy.

When Joker pulled the lever, which was opening all cells of inmates, Poison Ivy was one of them. She was using her plants and hypnotized policemen and inmates of Arkham to escape from Asylum.

- Chlorokinesis: Poison Ivy can manipulate several different types of plants.
- Mind Control: Due to Poison Ivy's pheromones; she can manipulate the minds of other individuals; to get them to do what she wants them to do.
