Thrax is the son of Ares and Hippolyta.
Biography[]
Wonder Woman[]
Not much is known about Thrax, but in the beginning of the film, he is seen as vicious, had a lust for carnage and was a great warrior like his father Ares and mother, the queen of the Amazons.
His mother, Hippolyta, said to Ares that he forced Thrax onto her like a curse. Some fans speculated Thrax was a product of rape from that sentence and that she never wanted him in the first place, but Ares contradicts this as he hinted he and Hippolyta were lovers once before he betrayed her when he teased her, saying she was eager to see him on the battlefield as she did in the bedroom. Hippolyta possibly loved Thrax once and probably meant how Ares forced Hippolyta to see the monster Thrax had become thanks to how Ares raised him, which in turn made Hippolyta lose faith in man, for if her own son, a man, could turn on his own mother and kill her Amazons with no mercy, than all man are evil.
Leaving his mother no other choice to save her people, she beheads her son and he is now a slave to Hades as punishment for his crimes against the Amazonian and human races.
