Batman was first released on home video in the fall of 1989, in the VHS, Betamax, and Laserdisc formats. It was released on DVD on March 25, 1997, and re-released on October 18, 2005. The Blu-ray disc was released on May 19, 2009 as the 20th anniversary edition and on December 20, 2014 as the 25th anniversary edition. The 4K Ultra HD edition, with remastered Blu-ray discs, was released on June 4, 2019.
