Here it is, post your thoughts and comments below.
Are there any characters from the comics you'd love to see in a potential sequel and if so which ones?
I like Batman but then again so do a lot of people. I also really like Aquaman, Wonder Woman and Shazam. It's hard to say which is my favourite though.
I would have hated proper bat armor that's not who Batman is, it'd just look like Iron Man designed a batsuit. He only has to use a suit like that in certain situations.
In a rather surprising press release, it has been officially announced that Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons will be joining the cast of the as of yet untitled Man of Steel sequel as Lex Luthor and Alfred Pennyworth respectively.
My thoughts? Irons will undoubtedly be suited for his role as Alfred but Eisenberg is confusing yet inspired. He is the same age as Cavill and plays the "smart guy" very well. I'd love to see him bulk up a bit for the role but I'm not holding out much hope.
I didn't say it was confirmed those films will be made, I said they have plans because you said they don't know where there going in the future. What is confirmed is that she is signed on to 3 which is said to include Justice League and a solo.
Variety suggests she is signed on for BvS, Justice League and Wonder Woman. So that is at least part of their plan for the future. But yes, they screwed up by announcing a release date before they knew that they'd meet the release.
My point is, they do have a plan. I know that just because she's signed up for three doesn't mean she'll be in three. But the fact that they signed her for multiple films suggests they have a plan for their universe, especially if Variety's report is true.
Marvel's films are handled by multiple companies (X-Men and Fantastic Four are Fox, Spider-Man is Sony, MCU is Marvel Studios) where as all of DC characters go through WB who put out 12-14 films a year in a variety of genres. I don't think it's necessarily reactionary if WB want to make JL back-to-back with Man of Steel 2, if anything it could mean that they do finally have a plan, just because they aren't doing it the same way Marvel did doesn't mean it's wrong or bad. Plus DC have Arrow and multiple TV series in the works so, even if they aren't connected (which at the moment they aren't and probably never will be) they still have the series.
It is frustrating but at the end of the day it's only a film. I'm annoyed but I'm not going to blame anyone for it, if it's delayed then it's delayed.
